Someone Was Lynched In Your City Demonstration

We will be occupying peaceful space in Douglas County to stand for Justice for Jalin Seabron. This demonstration has been curated with the belief that silence can speak when words have been exhausted. During this demonstration, community members will stand together in a posture of solemn witness, holding a large banner that reads: “Someone Was Lynched In Your City.” We will remain in intentional silence, allowing the weight of truth, grief, and accountability to fill the space.

We never intend this movement to create a spectacle and design this movement for moral interruption. Our presence is meant to disrupt comfort, confront denial, and call forward the humanity that justice requires. We are not standing in anger, we are standing in expectancy honoring Jalin’s life and his legacy, naming the violence that took it, and refusing to allow his death to be erased, minimized, or reframed.
