Prepare to be immersed in Black Excellence as we celebrate our community's monumental achievements and proudly showcase the crème de la crème of educational institutions that have earned the illustrious Green Book Status under the prestigious Green Book Initiative!

The Green Book Initiative is nothing short of revolutionary!  This movement is dedicated to recognizing and celebrating schools that have transcended expectations to create psychologically safe havens for Black students, families, staff, and the entire community. These extraordinary institutions have shown an unapologetic commitment to inclusivity, equity, and excellence in education, ensuring that every Black soul within their walls feels cherished and empowered.

This year's Juneteenth Parade is more than a celebration—it's an intentional commendation of these exceptional schools that have boldly led the charge in promoting educational equity. By earning Green Book Status, these institutions have set the gold standard for others to aspire to, exemplifying the incredible impact of dedication and partnership in acknowledging and elevating Black Excellence in their spaces of education.

The parade kicks off at 9:30 AM from the iconic Manual High School, and we summon everyone to join us in this jubilant festivity!

We will gather in unity, pride, and celebration to applaud the schools that have made a resounding difference and to ignite inspiration in others to follow their shining example.
